- Clipboard history, such as text, images, rich text, links, colors, and file references
- Local usage statistics, such as source app, paste count, and search count
- Preferences, such as keyboard shortcuts, ignored apps, and whether to save Universal Clipboard content
2. How We Use This Data
We use this data only to provide Kumu's core features, such as:
- Saving and searching clipboard history
- Pasting selected content back into the current app
- Generating link previews
- Saving your local settings
We do not upload your clipboard history to our servers.
3. Link Previews
When you copy an http or https link, Kumu may access that webpage and its related resources directly from your device to generate a title, preview image, or site icon.
This means the destination website may receive network information similar to a normal visit, such as your IP address, request time, and User-Agent. These requests are sent directly from your device and do not pass through our servers.
4. Permissions
Kumu may request the following permissions:
- Accessibility permission, used to paste content back into other apps
- File selection permission, used to add apps to the ignore list
- Network access, used to generate link previews and open the official website or support email
If you do not grant the relevant permissions, some features may not work.
5. Data Storage and Deletion
Kumu's primary data is stored locally on your device, including the app data directory, database, and preferences.
You can manage your data by:
- Deleting individual records or clearing history in the app
- Adjusting ignored apps and Universal Clipboard settings
- Uninstalling the app and deleting local data
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except in the following case:
- Directly visiting the destination website you copied in order to generate a link preview
